Cheltenham International Film Festival 2022

CHELTENHAM INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2022 runs from 23rd May – 3rd June and will be both a live and ‘screen & stream’ online event showcasing independent films from emerging filmmakers who are making a mark. Tickets for events and films are on sale now and members will receive an emailed code entitling them to a 20% discount on all films live or streamed online.

Some highlights include: Welcoming Dame Judi Dench to celebrate her career as one of Britain’s finest actresses with  An Afternoon with Dame Judi on 26 May before a live audience, in conversation with Jonathan Dean of Sunday Times Culture Magazine at Pittville Pump Room.

Opening the festival will be The Good Boss, starring Javier Bardem and closing with Both Sides of The Blade, starring Juliette Binoche, directed by legendary French filmmaker Claire Denis.

They will also feature four films representative of Ukrainian cinema including Rhino, directed by Oleg Sentsov, who has exchanged the red carpet for the muddy fields of war, and hope to interview Oleg from the front line to raise money for Ukrainian refugees. Also screening is the Swiss-Ukrainian film, Olga, hosted by the entertainer Dom Joly, to raise funds.
